I believed I had many ideals, because I loved life, I loved beauty, I loved art, I loved philosophy above all else, I loved the mountains, I had many ideals; I lacked nothing, I felt I was a fulfilled and happy person. But at that moment, these words lit a great light inside me, and this light took possession of my whole being, and I felt that this light was God. And I said to myself: “No, Ginetta, your ideal is not art, it is not music, it is not philosophy, it is not nature. No! Your ideal is this light, it is God!” And at that moment, in my heart, I chose it as the most fascinating, most beautiful thing in the world, for my whole life.
