Genfest 2024
Genfest 2024, with the theme “Together to Care” (in Portuguese, “Juntos para Cuidar”), took place in Brazil in July 2024, with the aim of promoting unity, fraternity, and a commitment to caring for oneself, others, the environment, and the most vulnerable people.
The event was structured in three phases. The first, from July 12 to 18, was dedicated to social actions carried out throughout Brazil and Latin America.
The second phase, from July 19 to 21, represented the central event of Genfest and was held in Aparecida (SP): a major festival of ideas, reflections, and initiatives that inspired thousands of young people from different cultures, ethnicities, and religions to commit themselves to building a united world. The program featured music, choreographies, personal testimonies, best practices, and thematic pathways.
The third phase, held from July 19 to 24, also in Aparecida (SP), presented the innovative experience of the United World Community: meeting spaces where young people could share talents and passions, address global challenges, promote personal and collective change, and spread fraternity across all dimensions of human life.
