Igino Giordani (Foco) fu uno scrittore, giornalista e politico italiano, direttore della Biblioteca Vaticana e co-fondatore del Movimento dei Focolari. Nasce a Tivoli (Italia), nel 1894, in una famiglia di umili origini, profondamente cattolica, che non potendo garantire i suoi studi regolari, lo indirizza al lavoro manuale. Ma il piccolo Igino attirava l’attenzione per la sua intelligenza, e il ricco uomo per cui lavorava, commosso dalla sua acutezza d’animo, ha pagato gli studi in seminario, dove Igino studier\u00e0 non per diventare prete, ma per essere uno dei pi\u00f9 brillanti diplomatici dell’epoca.
\nNel 1948, a 54 anni, uomo affermato in campo politico e culturale, conosce Chiara Lubich, una ragazza di 28 anni nella quale riconosce una straordinaria ispirazione spirituale. \u00c8 entrato a pieno titolo nel Movimento dei Focolari e, accanto a Chiara, ha svolto un ruolo importante nello sviluppo del Movimento e nell’approfondimento spirituale della dottrina, al punto che, pi\u00f9 di una volta, \u00e8 stato designato da Chiara come co-fondatore.
\nAveva un tono molto personale nella lotta per i grandi traguardi umani: libert\u00e0, giustizia sociale, pace (al servizio del “bisogno d`amore fra le genti”, scriveva nel 1919).

Pasquale Foresi (Chiaretto) \u00e8 nato a Livorno (Italia) il 5 luglio 1929 da una famiglia cristiana. Incontra Chiara Lubich a Trento nel dicembre 1949. Da quel momento allora fino alla fine sar\u00e0 al suo fianco e condivider\u00e0 con lei la responsabilit\u00e0 del Movimento dei Focolari. Negli anni precedenti aveva sentito la vocazione al sacerdozio e aveva frequentato per alcuni anni il seminario di Pistoia e poi il Collegio Capranica a Roma fino a quando non \u00e8 scoppiata una crisi di fede. Qualche anno dopo, avendo percepito nei Focolari “una fede assoluta nella Chiesa cattolica e allo stesso tempo una vita evangelica radicale”, dice: “Ho capito che questo era il mio posto e ben presto \u00e8 riapparsa l’idea del sacerdozio. ” Sar\u00e0 ordinato sacerdote il 4 aprile 1954, essendo il primo sacerdote focolarino, aprendo questa strada ad altri. Chiara ha trovato in padre Foresi una speciale affinit\u00e0 e gli chiede di condividere la direzione del Movimento. Attraverso la sua profonda conoscenza della teologia, Chiaretto, come \u00e8 stato chiamato da Chiara, sa riconoscere tutto il valore teologico e dottrinale contenuto nelle intuizioni di Chiara e diventa un interlocutore qualificato nei rapporti con la Chiesa, soprattutto quando il nascente Movimento \u00e8 sottoposto allo studio del Sant’Uffizio. Il compito principale di Foresi \u00e8 stato quello di aiutare Chiara a realizzare in opera il Carisma dell’Unit\u00e0: la cittadella di Loppiano, il gruppo editoriale Citt\u00e0 Nuova e l’Istituto Universitario Sophia, nato a Loppiano nel 2007. “A un certo punto – ci dice – ho avuto l’impressione che nella mia vita che tutto fosse sbagliato e soprattutto che quelle cose positive che avrei potuto aiutare a fare, fossero mie e non di Dio”. Un’angoscia spirituale, la sua, che vive come purificazione da Dio. Igino Giordani (Foco) fu uno scrittore, giornalista e politico italiano, direttore della Biblioteca Vaticana e co-fondatore del Movimento dei Focolari. Nasce a Tivoli (Italia), nel 1894, in una famiglia di umili origini, profondamente cattolica, che non potendo garantire i suoi studi regolari, lo indirizza al lavoro manuale. Ma il piccolo Igino attirava l’attenzione per la sua intelligenza, e il ricco uomo per cui lavorava, commosso dalla sua acutezza d’animo, ha pagato gli studi in seminario, dove Igino studier\u00e0 non per diventare prete, ma per essere uno dei pi\u00f9 brillanti diplomatici dell’epoca.
\nNel 1948, a 54 anni, uomo affermato in campo politico e culturale, conosce Chiara Lubich, una ragazza di 28 anni nella quale riconosce una straordinaria ispirazione spirituale. \u00c8 entrato a pieno titolo nel Movimento dei Focolari e, accanto a Chiara, ha svolto un ruolo importante nello sviluppo del Movimento e nell’approfondimento spirituale della dottrina, al punto che, pi\u00f9 di una volta, \u00e8 stato designato da Chiara come co-fondatore.
\nAveva un tono molto personale nella lotta per i grandi traguardi umani: libert\u00e0, giustizia sociale, pace (al servizio del “bisogno d`amore fra le genti”, scriveva nel 1919).

Danilo: Dopo un po’, ho incontrato un’altra ragazza. Notate che intanto avevo conosciuto l’Ideale a Milano, nel 1950: era venuta Ginetta. Ero stato invitato ad ascoltare l’esperienza che lei raccontava in un ristorante, mi aveva colpito moltissimo, soprattutto questo pensiero, che Dio va amato con tutto il cuore, tutta l’anima, tutte le forze. Dio.
\nE l\u00ec, mentre lei raccontava la storia di Chiara, di Dio Amore, mi \u00e8 passata davanti la mia vita e ho visto che vi erano tante cose: il lavoro, perch\u00e9 ero diventato un ingegnere e avevo tanto da fare; il pensiero della fidanzata; il lavoro anche per la Chiesa; Dio; tanti interessi. E l\u00ec ho capito – e si \u00e8 come unificata la vita – che Dio doveva essere al primo posto della mia vita.<\/p>\n

Annamaria: Quando \u00e8 apparso Danilo, mi \u00e8 sembrato di vedere veramente come un dono di Dio in lui. Tanto pi\u00f9 che mi ha parlato subito dell’Ideale, mi ha affascinato; mi ha parlato poco, per\u00f2 mi ha presentato subito uno scritto di Chiara, e ho sentito l\u00ec un’attrazione fortissima verso questa realt\u00e0, che non sapevo
