Incontra Chiara Lubich a Trento nel dicembre 1949. Da quel momento allora fino alla fine sar\u00e0 al suo fianco e condivider\u00e0 con lei la responsabilit\u00e0 del Movimento dei Focolari. Negli anni precedenti aveva sentito la vocazione al sacerdozio e aveva frequentato per alcuni anni il seminario di Pistoia e poi il Collegio Capranica a Roma fino a quando non \u00e8 scoppiata una crisi di fede. Qualche anno dopo, avendo percepito nei Focolari &#8220;una fede assoluta nella Chiesa cattolica e allo stesso tempo una vita evangelica radicale&#8221;, dice: &#8220;Ho capito che questo era il mio posto e ben presto \u00e8 riapparsa l&#8217;idea del sacerdozio. &#8221; Sar\u00e0 ordinato sacerdote il 4 aprile 1954, essendo il primo sacerdote focolarino, aprendo questa strada ad altri. Chiara ha trovato in padre Foresi una speciale affinit\u00e0 e gli chiede di condividere la direzione del Movimento. Attraverso la sua profonda conoscenza della teologia, Chiaretto, come \u00e8 stato chiamato da Chiara, sa riconoscere tutto il valore teologico e dottrinale contenuto nelle intuizioni di Chiara e diventa un interlocutore qualificato nei rapporti con la Chiesa, soprattutto quando il nascente Movimento \u00e8 sottoposto allo studio del Sant&#8217;Uffizio. Il compito principale di Foresi \u00e8 stato quello di aiutare Chiara a realizzare in opera il Carisma dell&#8217;Unit\u00e0: la cittadella di Loppiano, il gruppo editoriale Citt\u00e0 Nuova e l&#8217;Istituto Universitario Sophia, nato a Loppiano nel 2007. &#8220;A un certo punto &#8211; ci dice &#8211; ho avuto l&#8217;impressione che nella mia vita che tutto fosse sbagliato e soprattutto che quelle cose positive che avrei potuto aiutare a fare, fossero mie e non di Dio&#8221;. Un&#8217;angoscia spirituale, la sua, che vive come purificazione da Dio. Ed \u00e8 proprio durante questa prova spirituale, che sembra compromettere anche il suo benessere fisico, che Chiara vede concretizzare le innumerevoli opere con Don Foresi al suo fianco come
